On October 19, at 9:30 AM, the Samaritans of Merrimack Valley are holding their 3rd Annual “Walk for Hope,” a 1.5 mile walk to support those affected by suicide and to raise awareness of mental health issues in our community. We partnered with the Samaritans for our Annual “Stride into the Light Walk” last May and are supporting their fall walk. We will be walking as a team.

The money raised over the past two years has enabled them to hire an additional part-time staff member to reach out and provide education about suicide prevention across the Merrimack Valley. Additional services also provided include loss survivor support and improvements to the crisis helpline.

 

Please consider becoming a team member or supporting the team through a donation. This is a great family activity, and there is no charge for children under 12. It is a very worthy cause.
