This year Lazarus House held their annual Hike for Hope, although like most fundraisers this year they had to re-imagine it due to the pandemic. There were 4 different activities to participate in:
- 5k walk/run
- jumping rope for 30 minutes
- food drive
- fundraising
All of the activities were done virtually. And since we couldn't gather and support each other, Lazarus House had apps that people could download onto their phones for some support and encouragement as they walked.
The First Church team raised $1,171 for Lazarus House. The money raised from this year's Hike for Hope Challenge will be used to renovate their soup kitchen and meet the increasing needs of their clients.
